About Us
The ALIM Scientific Association, a non-profit organization, aims to highlight and promote the work of researchers from all backgrounds in France and Azerbaijan.
The Association also seeks to support and promote, by all appropriate means and without limitation, the advancement and dissemination of knowledge, techniques, practices, processes, and scientific achievements from France and Azerbaijan in various fields, including science, technology, health, sociology, economics, law, politics, management, and sports.
The Association is committed to addressing all scientists in its activities, without any criteria of age, gender, origin, or any other form of discrimination.
Gunel Safarova – Founding President
Dr. Gunel Safarova earned her PhD in Management Sciences from the University of Paris-Saclay. Her doctoral thesis was conducted in partnership with Georgetown University (Washington, DC, USA) and focuses on innovation and ambidexterity in management. Her main research areas include innovation management, change management, managerial ambidexterity, international and intercultural management. Dr. Safarova is an associate researcher at LAREQUOI, a management research laboratory. She teaches courses such as “Change Management,” “Project Management,” “Marketing Techniques and Policies,” “Strategic Diagnostic Tools,” “Corporate Strategy,” “International and Intercultural Management,” among others.
Her academic background also includes a Master’s degree in International Management from the University of Paris-Est Créteil and an MBA from ISM IAE at the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature. Her professional experience spans various fields, including higher education, banking, agribusiness, and consulting.
Reyhan Hasanova – Secretary General
Reyhan Hasanova graduated from the Azerbaijan Medical University. Her strong interest in genetics and molecular biology led her to pursue further studies abroad. In France, she earned two master’s degrees in molecular biology and genetics, followed by a PhD in medical sciences, specializing in colorectal cancer research. She currently works as a Research Consultant in the “Life Sciences” division at Oracle, one of the world’s most advanced companies. In her role, she focuses on cancers and rare diseases, using real-world data to advance research and treatment strategies.
Shabnam Suleymanova – Treasurer
Shabnam Suleymanova holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science (MIAGE) and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Paris-Sud XI, Orsay. With 12 years of experience in information technology and finance, she has developed strong expertise in process analysis, financial data analysis, and project management. She is currently a Customer Success Manager & Client Lead at Opensee, where she oversees major client projects and coordinates a team dedicated to expertise and implementation support.
Previously, Shabnam worked as a Business Analyst/Integration Consultant, managing platform integration services and leading projects for tender offers. She was responsible for maintaining and updating internal applications related to financial control.
Her technical skills include programming and working with databases. She is proficient in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and data visualization tools such as Tableau Software and Power BI. Shabnam holds multiple certifications, including FRM 1 from GARP, Tableau Desktop Specialist, and Professional Scrum Master I.
