Ulviyya Alizada, MD – Cluster head
Dr. Ulviyya Alizada is a Medical Doctor (MD) specializing in Public Health. She studied medicine at the University of Franche-Comté. Her academic background includes a Specialized Studies Diploma (DES) in Public Health and Social Medicine from the University of Strasbourg and a Master’s (MSc) in Biomedical Research Methodology from the University of Paris-Sud.
Her main areas of research and teaching are clinical trial methodology, medical statistics, epidemiology, and health system management. Dr. Alizada currently works as a public health and infectious disease medical advisor at the Regional Health Agency of Strasbourg. She is involved in projects for the surveillance and prevention of infectious diseases, particularly those that are legally reportable in France and/or pose a significant public health risk. She is also the regional reference expert for zoonotic diseases and arboviruses (mosquito-borne viral diseases) such as dengue, Zika, and chikungunya.
